Brief Project Description


Two years ago, Typhoon Ondoy whipped Metro Manila and other nearby municipalities like San Mateo as well as Cainta and left nothing but the storm’s wrath.
Our municipality really struggled to bring back it’s then situation, but with the help of the local government and the inhabitants, they managed to rebuild and restore the municipalty.
Since then, Caintenos are more concerned with the state of our environment. They supported the programs that the local government launched.

Background of the Study


“Hindi Nagpa-unday kay Ondoy”, is the focus study of Gov. Isidro S. Rodriguez Sr. Memorial National High School to the DPSA contest of Smartschools Program (SSP). It belongs to the category of “Environment and Disaster Preparedness.”
It tackles about the effects of typhoon “Ondoy”. This tragic event caused lots of damage to the local residents of Cainta.
This research is initiated in order to present the initiatives and steps the Municipal Government of Cainta undertook after the event. It investigates how the government plans to respond in the event of another strong typhoon and heavy floods.
This is conducted to help campaign for the inculcation of values and awareness in preserving our environment.
